Rule Book Disclaimer
The rules and regulations are designed to provide for the orderly conduct of racing events and to establish minimum acceptable requirements for such events. These rules shall govern all events, and by participating in these events, all participants are deemed to be in compliance with these rules and regulations.
NO EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OR SAFETY SHALL RESULT FROM PUBLICATIONS OF OR COMPLIANCE WITH THESE RULES AND/OR REGULATIONS.
These rules are intended as a guide for the conduct of the sport and are in no way a guarantee against injury of death to a participant, spectator, official or others.
The Race Director shall be empowered to permit minor deviations from any of the specifications or impose further restrictions that, in his opinion, do not alter the minimum acceptable requirements.

Interpretation of, or deviation from these rules is left to the discretion of the Officials. Their decision is final. It is the responsibility of the driver to ensure their car confirms to all rules and regulations at anytime while on the racing surface or anywhere on premises. To include practice, time trials competitive racing, and any other
GENERAL INFORMATION
ALL RULES ARE SUBJECT TO INTERPRETATION OF THE TRACK OFFICIALS. EQUIPMENT THAT OFFICIALS CONSIDER EXOTIC OR NOT IN THE INTENT OF THE RULES WILL BE CONSIDERED ILLEGAL FOR COMPETITION.
1. Any 4 cylinder car with a maximum wheel base of 103.5†and a complete stock Steel body, interior, frame and suspension. Any car with a longer wheel base must be pre approved with speedway prior to day of event. (Call office with any questions on exemption/exception on wheel base length) All cars must have complete stock Steel body, interior, frame and suspension. NO bracing anywhere except inside the drivers compartment. No Rotary engine allowed! No all-wheel drive vehicles. 4 cylinder Ford Fairmont’s, “large bodied†4 cylinder cars, or cars not matching the intent of rules or existing field will be allowed! Any car determined “exotic†by officials, will not be allowed to compete.
2. Roll bars: HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Either a single hoop rollover bar or a 2†OD pipe or equivalent steel upright, with 8†square steel mounting plates on each end. Mounted vertical from roof to floor pan, located behind the drivers seat. A second upright may be mounted in front of the front passenger seat. Roll bars and Uprights must be bolted with 1/2†bolts to the floor pan and roof.
3. Drivers door must be welded or chained shut. Must have drivers side door reinforcement; this must be a C channel 8†maximum width, NO ANGLE IRON OR BOX TUBING. Ends must be cut at angle NO SHARP EDGES. Dash bar required above steering wheel from side to side. A spreader bar must be installed behind drivers seat from side to side. 2†OD pipe or equivalent. Passenger door bar REQUIRED maximum 8†C channel.
4. Dashboard, Steering and Pedals must remain completely stock for make and model of car. All insulation under hood must be removed.
5. Stock carburetor or fuel injection for that make and model.
6. Transmission for that make and model.
7. Stock Exhaust system for that make and model. MUFFLERS MANDATORY.
8. Battery must be securely fastened and may be relocated to passenger floor in a battery box. Securely mounted & chained to floor.
9. Stock unaltered rear end for that make and model.
10. Approved DOT 60 series or bigger passenger tires only not to exceed a $50.00 retail value. Wheels and tires must be of like size. NO low profile-type tires. No NU tread or racing style tires. Any tire may be purchased by the track for $50.00 at any time including tires in pit area.
11. Gas Tank:
a) If stock gas tank is ahead of rear axle it may remain in place. A fuel cell (6.6 gallon maximum) is RECOMMENDED, plastic boat tank (6.6 gallon maximum) is allowed. SUBJECT TO TECH
b) If stock gas tank is behind rear axle (closest to back of car), it must be replaced with a fuel cell or plastic boat tank (6.6-gallon maximum). RECOMMENDED
c) Fuel cell/boat tanks must be covered, secured and located in trunk.
12. All glass (except front windshield) must be removed prior to arrival to the track. Lexan is recommended for replacement of glass windshield. Subject to Tech
13. Approved helmets and long sleeved garments required. A flame retardant drivers suit is highly recommended.
14. Seat belts are mandatory. Must be a minimum 5-point racing style harness.
15. Window Nets are required to be used on the driver’s door. It must be securely attached on the bottom and have positive fastener on the top which may be easily removed by the driver and or safety personnel.
16. It is encouraged to build fan recognition of drivers that cars be painted neatly and brightly.
17. Car numbers on doors MUST be at least 20†tall in an EASY TO SEE color. Roof numbers must be at least 32†in height. If we cannot read your numbers you will not be scored. B. A six-inch number Arial Italic font, white must be displayed on the upper right hand corner of the windshield
18. $750 Management claim in effect at all times. CLAIM DOES NOT INCLUDE FUEL CELLS OR SYSTEMS.
19. No two way radio communications between driver and/or pits/grandstands.
20. Line-ups will be determined by qualifying, one lap per car, or through practice times.
21. All cars must run a transponder. Transponders may be purchased or rented from Evergreen Speedway.
22. Spec. Bumpers may be run and must be purchased from Concept Racing and Graphics only. If spec bumpers are not used then stock bumper for make model and year of vehicle must be used on front and rear of vehicle.
GENERAL INFORMATION
We expect all participants to take pride in being part of our entertainment. Racing entertainment is what we sell to the public and we will not tolerate anyone or anything that detracts from our show. Cars in the opinion of the Officials, that lack in appearance or are deemed unsafe, will not be allowed to race until acceptable.
A. All car construction rules will be decided by NASCAR Tech Inspectors. Burden of proof on any concern will be the responsibility of the owner and driver.
B. ALL NASCAR CAR NUMBERS WILL BE ASSIGNED BY THE SPEEDWAY OFFICE (360) 805-6100 AND MUST BE RENEWED EVERY YEAR.
WHAT TO DO IF YOU ARE INJURED IN AN ACCIDENT AT EVERGREEN SPEEDWAY ON SATURDAY NIGHT
1.        Have the ambulance attendant check you out and fill out an accident report.
2.        GET MORE MEDICAL ATTENTION IF NECESSARY.
3.        If you have follow-up treatments, please advise your doctor of the following
a) Your insurance carrier
b) NASCAR insurance
c) NASCAR address:

Stinger 8
Races will be run in opposite direction as Super Eights
Heats are straight up.
Mains are 2 bumps and a dump. Meaning a car that is following may dump a car in front but only after making contact (bumping not ramming) 2 times. Not making contact 2 times will result in a black flag/stop and go.
The black flag, or a warning of, will be thrown by the track officials for the following:
A. Dumping at the X.
B. Ramming another car into a dangerous situation.
C. Failure to heed flags.
D. Action will be taken to correct poor driving practices.
E. Track officials will change starting positions of obvious “sand baggingâ€. If a car runs one half second (0.5) faster in a competitive lap than his/her time in lap the driver and/or car may be penalized.
Hot Lapping
A. CARS APPROACHING FROM THE SOUTH TURN HAVE THE RIGHT OF WAY! Failure to yield the right of way or rough driving will result in disciplinary action.
B. Hot lapping will be at the discretion of the racetrack.
Flags & Line-ups
A. Official Flags:
WHITE One lap to go
GREEN Start of RACE
RED DANGER – STOP as quickly & safely as possible
BLACK w/YELLOW Mechanical Flag – Contact that flagman or track
STRIPE official immediately for explanation.
CHECKERED END of Race
ROLLED UP FLAG Obstruction ahead, use caution, OR Driver Warning
YELLOW SLOW DOWN and hold position
BLACK Pull into infield for one lap penalty or disqualified
B. Any car and driver failing to heed the black or mechanical flag for three consecutive laps will be penalized.
C. Under a red flag NO CAR MAY MOVE! Cars leaving the line-up may enter the pit area entrance only after a caution flag is displayed or as directed by a NASCAR official. If you go to the pit area entrance you will sacrifice your line-up position. Cars entering the pit area entrance will AUTOMATICALLY be placed at the back of the pack.
D. Stay in your car after an accident or breakdown on the track. If you do not need medical assistance put your window net down. This is a sign that you do not need medical assistance. This is a rule designed to help the tow trucks clear the track as quickly and safely as possible.
E. Heat races will be a minimum of 8 cars for 8 laps; exceptions may occur. The number of cars determine the number of laps.
F. Mains will not exceed 16 cars; exceptions may occur that may provoke changes.
G. Car on the pole sets the pace for the start of the race.
H. The number of cars taking the green flag will determine the status of the race.
I. All cars must complete lap one or a complete restart is in order.
J. All races are raced to the checkered flag.
K. All cars involved in the reason of the yellow/red will be placed at the back of the pack on a restart except for the first lap of the race.
L. You may not change racing lanes on an initial start until you pass the start finish line. You may move forward with your lane.
Rookies
A. Rookies must have an X on their car doors and trunk for three weeks minimum.
B. Rookie of the Year is awarded at the end of the season awards banquet, based on accumulated points.
C. A rookie is defined as someone who has competed in 3 or less races per class in any previous season.
Scoring
Scoring will be done by the AMB transponder system. All cars must run a transponder. Transponders may be purchased or rented from Evergreen Speedway.
Points
Points will be awarder on a progressive system. Meaning that last place car in the slowest main will be awarded 3 (three) points and will go up in intervals 3 (three) points per car to the First place car of the A main event. Heat races will use the same system but in 1 (one) point intervals. The WINNER from the previous week A main event in both classes will start at the back of the following weeks main event.
A. The first and second place winner of each main event has the option to move up to the next highest main event, but they forfeit points and monies for moving up.
B. All points go to the driver. Driver or representative must sign in at tech inspection.
C. If there is a driver change after a car is qualified then starting position will be forfeited.
D. If a car does not time in, it must run at the back of the slowest heat and main.
E. Any driver may request to move to the back of the pack.
F. Drivers may be required to move to the back of the pack if they are a rookie or a problem driver. This will be at the discretion of the race director
Mechanical Protest
A. Protests are to be made by the driver or owner only. All protests must be in writing, signed by the protesting party, and be accompanied by a protest bond of $250.00 cash. Protests shall be given to a Tech official within 30 minutes after the last competitive race event of the race meet. If the protest is valid, the bond will be returned to the protesting party. If the protest is not valid then $125.00 will go directly to the Speedway and $125.00 will go to the protested party
B. Protests must be specific and teardown will be for none other than that specified in the protest.
C. No more than 1 item may be protested at any one time.
D. Protests shall be ruled upon by the by NASCAR official. No appeals.
E. Teardowns shall be in a suitable place as stipulated by the NASCAR official.
F. Those present shall be no more than: Protested & NASCAR Officials
G. Protesters shall not be permitted to view teardowns, but will be shown protested parts or the protested part of the protested car.
H. In the event that a car is found to be illegal, appropriate penalties and/or fines shall be levied by NASCAR.
Numbers
A. Numbers to be issued by the Evergreen Speedway in accordance with the rules
B. All numbers except retired numbers will be available for renewal to participants who ran the number in the previous racing season, all numbers that were not run in the previous season will be on a first come first serve basis. ANY NUMBER NOT RUN BY THE 5th RACING WEEKEND OF THE 2009 SEASON WILL BE CONSIDERED AN OPEN NUMBER AND WILL BE AVAILABLE TO ANY COMPETITOR.
